Professional Disclosure Statement:
Yiding Han. Professionally known as “ May”. LMFT
Tel: 503-850-8484
Business address: 4804 NW Bethany Blvd, Suite I-2, #424, Portland, OR 97229
Philosophy:
I use an integrated, systemic approach to counseling within a warm, safe and supportive environment. I believe clients have the strength within themselves to heal and grow. Using my specialty in attachment theory, mindfulness and neuroscience, I facilitate mutual emotional attentiveness with my couples clients, while engaging myself to reflect, be with, and gently challenge individual clients towards exploration and transformation. Counseling for individual growth and change may focus on family of origin issues, self-compassion, and navigating emotional turmoil. I offer couples counseling that helps with conflict resolution, navigating connection as well as issues faced by non-traditional couples.
Credentials: As a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and Oregon Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, I abide by their Code of Ethics.
As an LMFT, I participate in yearly continuing education.
Formal Education: I hold a M.S. in Marriage
and Family Therapy from Northwestern University. Major course work includes systematic therapy, treatment models, intimate relationships, etc.
Fee for Counseling: My fee for therapy is $240 for 50-minute individual sessions, $240 for a 50-minute couples session and $360 for 75- minute sessions. I have a 48 hour cancelation period. If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so outside of the 48 hour period to avoid being charged your full fee for the missed session. I have a certain number of slots available at a reduced rate ($120-$180) for cases of financial need. I do not accept insurance, but I can take HSA/FSA cards for payment.
